Local artist and Master of Fine Arts student Lainey Discepoli invites the Snohomish River to serve as both collaborator and muse in this exhibition, a culminating project for her degree at Falmouth University in Cornwall, England. Through mixed media imagery and poetic reflection, she explores the fluid, dreamlike nature of the riverbank, asking: “What will the water do?” and “What can we learn from it?”
Step into an immersive world of sight, sound, and voice—an artistic meditation shaped by the river’s quiet power. Flowing through time, older than memory and patient as stone, it moves beside us still—and will, long after we are gone. And in its ceaseless passing, might it carry some hidden part of us to the surface, asking us to look—and to listen?
