This is an organic event. Snoho Art Walk invites participating galleries, studios, and venues to open their doors to the public every 4th Thursday of the month from 5-8 pm to celebrate art and creativity in the city of Snohomish.
This is a special cultural evening out in Snohomish, benefiting the artists by showcasing their work, and benefiting businesses by bringing new customers through their doors.
Because of the ever changing nature of the event (no two months have had the same venues!) and the considerable time it takes to update a printable map, we have discontinued providing this service. However, we will regularly update this page and the interactive Google Map with anyone who wants to participate.
Venues are encouraged to print and post this small poster in a visible place to help advertise this event. There are also postcards available.
Each business is responsible for finding their own artist(s) to show during art walk. It can be a pop-up style show for the evening, or art may be on display for a month or two. Rotating the art keeps things fresh and encourages visitors to come back every month. New artists also bring new audiences. Best practice is to rotate art every 1-3 months.
If you have trouble finding artists to show, a great place to start would be the artist roster on this website. Artists do not need to be from Snohomish, the artist chosen is up to each venue. Artists may also reach out to you if they are interested in showing at your place of business. It’s a great idea to fill out this form to be added to our free roster as a place to show art!
Businesses should promote this event on their social media, and include the event in their newsletters to drum up excitement. Make sure to mention Snohomish Art Community in your social media posts, and we will boost your signal by sharing as well. Remember- this is an ORGANIC community driven event. It will be what we (the artists, the venues, and the art community) make it!
There are Facebook events for each month’s event, be on the lookout for those events for sharing on socials.
Finally, it is standard practice when showing art to have a contract agreement between the venue or curator, and the artists. It is highly recommended to print and use this exhibition agreement form (or create one for yourself), and to share this how to frame/wire your art form with your artists. Many artists are new to showing, and will benefit from this handout.
We hope this is enough info to get you started, but please don’t hesitate to email if you have further questions!

Woohoo! So happy you’d like to participate in Soho Art Walk!
Art Walk is an organic event. The event gives participating galleries, studios, and venues an opportunity to open their doors to the public every 4th Thursday of the month to celebrate art and creativity in the city of Snohomish.
Each place selects their own artist(s) to feature. Artists are encouraged to contact the venues directly to ask about their process for selecting artists. S.A.C. has a list of some venues right here on our community roster, although there are many more places to check out. Even if they have not participated before, it never hurts to inquire!
Because of the organic nature of the Snoho Art Walk, there isn’t an official organizer or curator. Each venue has their own way of doing things- and exhibits may be for one evening, a month or several months.
S.A.C. will regularly update this page with new participating venues.
As a participating artist, we ask you to post about Snoho Art Walk on your socials, send emails out to invite your friends and family, and share any other posts you might see about Snoho Art Walk, including those from other artists, as this is how an art walk gets attention, gets visitors, and becomes viable. Help the Snoho Art Walk grow and flourish!
This is a grassroots group effort to get this thing going, growing and thriving!
We hope this helps you to get started. Please see the Resources for Artists/Venues tab for more helpful information.
